Common Faults Boilers Face
- Listed below are some common faults that all homeowners should know, to avoid getting taken advantage of.
- Boiler Pressure - If you have a Combi or System boiler then the normal working pressure the boiler should be at is 1.5 Bar. If your boiler has insufficient pressure, try increasing it with the filling loop underneath the boiler.
- No Power - Does your boiler have no lights or display working ? Always check your switch to the boiler or even the plug hasn't been accidentally knocked. Your boiler should be operated on a 3 AMP fuse only to avoid your boiler surging with power.
- Thermostat Issues - Always check your Thermostat has sufficient battery power and has signal to the boiler receiver by turning the controls off and on. All thermostats will show pairing methods in them and will show you how to re-bind them.
- No Gas - Before calling a gas engineer always make sure that you have an active gas line coming to the property by lighting the hob or gas fire. If on a pre-payment meter always make sure there is enough credit on the meter and it hasn't locked itself.
- Leaking Parts - If your boiler has sprung a leak, always turn off your mains cold water stop tap, and bleed your radiator till no more water comes out into a mug bucket to relieve all pressure inside the boiler. This quick action may save you a lot of money in extra parts required.

Billy fitted our boiler, he was extremely polite and tidy he even took his shoes off each time he came into the house. Not enough words to praise him enough, he took time to explain how to work the new boiler and controls to two pensioners.

Billy and Matt just installed a new boiler. They recommended Ideal with a 12 year warranty.
